Establishing Tunnel For Imam Hussein Sanctuary

Under the supervision of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine's Architectural Division, Ardh El-Qudos Architectural Company began the establishment of a tunnel which leads up to the Sanctuary of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).

Ali Hussein Muhsin, architect on duty stated that due to the enormous crowds that arrive at Karbala during heavy pilgrimages, this project will ease the movement of the pilgrims and provide them with high-quality comfort.

The tunnel is approximately 800m2 and 12 meters deep; and will be geared with the latest technology such as elevators, escalators, and other modern advancements.
