The Imam Hussein Holy shrine has been achieving the project of expanding the Holy Shrine in order to grant pilgrims more space to offer their rituals during the great pilgrimages.
The project has now reached 70%. It also covers 24000 m2. It is expected to finish in 2015. The annex will be equipped according to the modern technological standards in order to fit and provide better atmosphere to pilgrims.
