On the margin of the cultural week being held in Islamabad, Pakistan, the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has purchased and inaugurated a 120 000 square meter piece of land. The piece of land is located approximately 20 kilometers from the downtown of Islamabad.
A stately ceremony was held, symbolized by planting a sapling on the piece of land in the names of the heads of delegations of the participating holy shrines as well as some other remarkable figures.
Afdhel Esh-Shami, Deputy Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine said, “With the success granted to us by Allah, the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine purchased a 120 000 square meter piece of land for which one of the followers of Ahlul-Bayet (Peace Be Upon Them) paid three quarters of the price and the imam Hussein Holy Shrine paid a the fourth quarter”.
He added further that there will be buildings, institutions, and universities for the poor and orphans in terms of promulgating the knowledge of Ahlul-Bayet (Peace Be Upon Them).
Moslim Sagban, coordinator of the project, said, “In compliance with the directives of the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, His Eminence sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala’e, the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has begun to open religious institutions in the Muslim countries, and Pakistan is one of the those countries, where there has been a great cooperation with the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence sheikh Muhsin En-Nejefi and his son, His Eminence sheikh Anwar En-Nejefi in purchasing the piece of land”.
